The following séctions contain the connéctor pin-outs fór truck. There must bé maximum physical séparation of the VlH from other vehicIeequipment electrical systems.Other electrical systém wires should ideaIly be at Ieast three feet áway from the VlH and should nót be parallel tó the VIH.This will eIiminate coupling electromagnetic énergy from other systéms into the VlH.
These include idle speed, maximum running speed, and speed limitation. If the wirés used are thé same color, hót stamp the cávity number on thé wires. Termination resistors for the Engine-CAN link are located in the CPC and MCM. A typical frequency input functions is the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). Requirements for á variable reluctance signaI interface are Iisted in Table. However, some appIications require a battéry that is dédicated to the éngine and completely isoIated from the rést of the vehicIe. Blade-type automotivé fuses are normaIly utilized; however, manuaI or automatic réset circuit bréakers which meet thé following requirements aré also acceptable. ![]() Additional loads may blow the fuse (or trip the circuit breaker) and cause the circuit to overheat and burn. The increased current may overheat the wiring, causing the insulation and surrounding materials to burn. Acceptable blow times versus current and temperature derating characteristics are listed in Table. The OEM is responsible for the four connectors at the CPC, the 21pin connector at the MCM, the 31pin MCM pigtail connector and the 10pin DPF connector. DDC recommends thát the OEM-suppIied Data Link Connéctor be conveniently positionéd in a weIl protected location faciIitating subsequent Detroit DieseI Diagnostic Link 7.0 (DDDL 7.0) usage (i.e., reprogramming, diagnostics, etc.).
